1. Proofreading – $20/hour
Involves basic organizing and minor formatting such as spelling,
punctuation, grammar, spacing, and sentence structure.
2. Copyediting – $25/hour
As well as proofreading, copyediting includes reorganizing and major
formatting such as structure, syntax (the order of words in a
sentence) and vocabulary (word usage).
3. Substantive editing –
$30/hour
Takes copyediting to another level by improving word organization
and flow, presentation, style, tone, and checking for clarity,
logic, consistency and data correlation.
4. Re-writing – $35/hour
This involves complete revision and composition of text content,
including proofreading, copyediting and substantive editing.
